Rebirth

Dennis Myers, Ted Corletta and Richard Krolak are long time members of Stagger Stagger Crawl (SSC). When Dennis Myers needed to take a sabbatical, Ted and Richard formed P-Up Truck as a way to explore  genres and instrumentation that lay outside their experiences with SSC. This experiment in American Gothic (or the lyrical countrification of punk/rock music, now going on for 3+ years), has yielded Ted and Richard a growth in, appreciation for and satisfaction of the music that has made and continues to make up their lives. And so with their first 4 recorded singles (via Yarner Studios), P-Up Truck is now able to meld Ted and Richard's love of Johnny Cash, Miles Davis, Dawn Dineen, Charles Ives, Trini Lopez, Alice Despard, Tom Waites, John Coltrane, Bill Monroe, Chrissie Hynde, Thelonious Monk, Gram Parsons, John Prine, Aimee Mann, Doc Watson, Public Enemy, Fugazi, Yo La Tengo, The Roots, Spitshine, The Highwaters, Soul Coughing, The Hated, The New Pornographers, Baltic Avenue, The Carpenters, Smart Went Crazy, The Pretenders, Sonic Youth, The Beastie Boys, The Band and Nirvana into the original buzzing sound that has been in their ears and heads for all of this time. Ted and Richard are both residents of the City of Annapolis, Maryland, where they and their families drive pick-up trucks and keep a close eye on events & the weather.
